Teachers Get Appreciated With Chair Massages

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3-7), over 200 Texas teachers in the KISD and Lamar CISD school districts received a combination of hair, neck, scalp, and shoulder massages courtesy of their PTA associations.

The schools were Williams Elementary, Griffin Elementary and Stanley Elementary (KISD) and Manford Williams Elementary School (Lamar CISD).

The massages were administered on-site by the Wen Chic massage team. One (very relaxed looking) teacher remarked “next year they can keep the cake and cookies – but they had better bring you guys back!”

A Natural Cleanup Solution for the Gulf Oil Spill

A company called Matter of Trust has an innovative solution for cleaning up the Gulf Oil Spill. Instead of using petroleum based products, they’re orchestrating a drive to collect renewable and naturally absorbant products like hair, fur and wool to get the job done.

Wen Chic is donating hair clippings which the Matter of Trust folks stuff into recycled nylons and cover in mesh (time allowing, the hair can also be weaved into mats).

Participation is open to everyone; both individuals and companies can contribute. Click Here for more information.
